about
"Thanks For The Memories" is a small scale collaborative project for fans of KHUX.
The project aims to commemorate KHUX through creating a collaborative piece of artwork celebrating the game and memories associated with it.
Contributors are invited to create an image of their KeyKid enjoying the sights of Daybreak Town's Fountain Square.
Each individual KeyKid will then be added to a digital painting of Fountain Square - resulting in a final piece full of wielders of the past!

Taking part in this event is easy, just follow the simple steps outlined below.
How To Guide
1. Create an image of your KeyKid!
2. Send your image to the organiser via e-mail.
Image Guidelines
Your image must be of your own creation! (Commissioned art of KeyKids is also allowed with permission from the original artist!) Please do not directly rip assets from the game.
Please ensure your image has a transparent background and is easily resized! If you are unsure of anything, please get in touch with the organiser.
Style wise, anything goes! The final piece will be a mishmash of everyone's work, but if you are stuck for a style I would recommend something chibi-esque or simple to match with KHUX theme!

If you wish to have your KeyKid interacting with another contributor's please let me know in your submission email and I can pair them up! If there is a particular user you wish to interact with, I recommend you both working together on your images before submission!

Deadline
The deadline for all KeyKids is midnight on the 25th June (GMT) - this is to allow the organiser to put the final piece together, and also to "iron out" any creases or issues with images!

Sizing & Formats
What format should I draw my KeyKid in?
Please draw a full body piece of your KeyKid!
Does my piece need to have a background?
No, please keep the background of your piece transparent - this will make it a lot easier to add them to the Fountain Square!
What size should I make my KeyKid?
The canvas size will be roughly 3000x1500px @ 300dpi - as long as your KeyKid can be resized easily the original sizing shouldn't be a problem! If you really want guidelines, I would say a canvas height of approx. 500px.
I'm confused about the format of the final piece, is it like a collage or a a collective crowd in Daybreak Town?
Think of the final piece as a big collective of all of our KeyKids in Daybreak Town; kind of like the "home screen" where you can see all of your party members running around the Fountain Square together.
Will there be a preview of the background image?
Yes, I will post a preview of the background piece as soon as I can! In the meantime, if you wish to see a preview of the canvas, please DM me on Twitter, or drop me an e-mail!
Keykid Specifics
Can my KeyKid be interacting with another contributor's KeyKid?
Absolutely! I would advise discussing this with the other contributor beforehand - but if you are happy for your KeyKid to be interacting at random, just let me know and I can pair/group characters together as needed!
Does my KeyKid have to be interacting with others?
Not at all! Just imagine your KeyKid going about a normal day in Daybreak Town and take inspiration from that. Some wielders may be interacting with their party, others might just be enjoying the scenery. It's totally up to you concerning your KeyKid's actions in the piece!
Is there a limit to how many KeyKids will be included?
Not at all! The more the merrier!
Sharing & Permissions
Can I share my finished KeyKid before the deadline to social media?
Of course you can! Feel free to share your KeyKid to promote your art and the event!
I'm not an artist, but I have commissioned art of my KeyKid - can I submit that to the project?
As long as you have permission from the original artist, then absolutely!
My friend wants to be involved in the project, but they're not an artist - can I draw their KeyKid for them?
Of course, as long as you have permission to use their KeyKid in your submission then absolutely!
Other
What if you get too many submissions? Will you be able to fit all the characters onto the background?
I have made the background canvas pretty large, but if I get too many submissions to fit them all in, I will simply extend the canvas or make two final pieces. There is currently a poll on Twitter for people to decide what they would prefer!
Will there be appearances from other KHUX characters, such as Ephemer or Lauriam?
For now, this project will be specifically for original KeyKids.

I do work full time so please allow adequate time for me to respond to any questions or concerns! I will do my best to keep everyone updated but there may be some short delays if I am on shift.
